To say that Kenny is “pretty good at predicting future technology trends” is a bit of an understatement considering he and his brother created a mini Myspace before there was Myspace. Nowadays he indulges his social media addiction by cultivating his internet marketing blog and consulting on social media marketing.
“The next big thing? I see growth in mobile apps and websites. Google continuously changes its algorithms and businesses that don’t cater to the world of mobile are going to drop. Then there are mobile apps; the quick stuff like snapchat. Smaller apps that do smaller things. Very niche. These niche apps are killing the larger Tumblrs.”
You don’t have to spend much time with Kenny to understand that he’s passionate about innovation and emerging technologies. He started out doing programming in 1994, waaaay back when the internet was brand new and putting up a website was cutting edge.
Throughout his career he’s often found himself bringing new technologies to the companies he’s worked for. But recently he’s gradually shifted more to marketing. Why? “It was more fun. Campaigns are way more fun than coding.”
